TA is like this generation's Thursday, where each album is different enough to separate itself from its predecessor, yet remains distinctly them.
They grew with their audience and it shows. I don't think any other band from their era has been this consistent in releases, and that is coming from a die hard La Dispute fan. Possiblies and Maybes takes those rare, elusive tracks and combines them onto one compact disc, along with six additional tracks that are entirely new. The songs, both new and old, showcase the traditional Casket Lottery sound, meaning that there is a good range of poppy tunes combined with some more abrasive guitar numbers. All, however, fall within the emo genre one way or the other. With thoughtful lyrics and endearing vocals, this Kansas City three-piece can easily work its songs into the minds of fans anywhere.
In many ways, this album serves as not only a great introduction for those unfamiliar with the band, but also perhaps the only necessary purchase for those who find themselves to be casual fans.
