Checked in the Control Panel, Mouse applet and got nothing more than the pedestrian, vanilla, mouse icon, two buttons and a scroll wheel. That is when I decided to install the Logitech XP driver package so that I could enjoy full function.
I have Vista Ultimate with an MX and would like to use my other buttons on the mouse. If you do not have Vista, please select another operating system from the dropdown list above.
Anybody know how I can accomplish this? I think UberOptions might do what you need. But apparently the main site is gone. This guy has a mirror of the install file. Here's another blog with a description since the site is down. You can install the SetPoint software for Vista, look for it for another mouse. Even though Logitech says it doesn't work, it does work. At least it does for my MX Vista: Mouse Wheel Problems 13 posts.
